While staying true to its iconic design, the latest version introduces a series of upgrades designed to elevate performance and usability and launches with a range of eight colour options to suit every kitchen bench. With a deeper drip tray for larger cups, RGB LED indicators for clear visual feedback and an improved internal structure for long-term reliability, the Appartamento brings refined functionality to a beloved classic.

What’s different about the 2.0 versus the original Appartamento?

Four updates: a deeper drip tray, longer steam and hot water valves, a multicolor status light, and a low water alert. The 1.8 liter heat exchanger and E61 group underneath are unchanged.

Does it come with everything I need to get started?

It ships with single and double spout portafilters, matching baskets, a backflushing basket, a tamper, and a group brush. You will just need to add a grinder and fresh beans.

Can this machine be plumbed into a water line?

Not this one. It runs from a 2.5 liter reservoir you fill by hand. If plumbing in matters to you, Rocket’s rotary pump models like the Mozzafiato FAST R or Giotto FAST R give you that option.

Can I pull a shot and steam milk at the same time?

Absolutely. The 1.8 liter heat exchange boiler handles brew and steam together, so there is no waiting between the two. It is what makes back to back drinks feel quick.

How long does the Appartamento 2.0 need to warm up?

About 20 minutes from cold. The E61 group head is heated by boiler water circulating through it, so that time brings the whole brew path up to temperature, not just the boiler.
