Does the finder need to download an app?

No. When a finder scans your tag with any phone camera, the message page just opens in their browser. Owners install SeQR as a Progressive Web App from app.seqrcontact.com — also no App Store download required.

Is it really waterproof?

Yes. The hard-plastic body and printed QR are designed to withstand rain, snow, and normal travel handling. Full submersion for extended periods is not recommended.

How do I activate the two tags?

Smart luggage tags come in a set of two, and each one activates in seconds. Scan the QR code on a tag with your phone’s camera, create your account when prompted, and that tag is yours. Scan the second tag to activate it the same way.

Does this track my bag in real time?

No. SeQR is a passive contact tag, not a tracker. There is no live map or battery. If someone scans the QR code, they can privately message you and choose to share their location using the share my location feature.
